My Approach
Our initial meeting will be a consultation during which we get to know each other. I will collaborate with you and formulate an individualized plan to help you with your problems and concerns. I thoughtfully draw from various research based therapeutic models and choose an approach that best fits your needs.
- Therapeutic Models that I use include:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Humanistic
- Jungian
An integrative approach means taking into consideration your emotional, physical, social, spiritual, and cultural context. It also means helping you identify, access, and experience your strengths and resources.
Coordinating care with other practitioners you may be seeing and promoting supplemental wellness activities to enhance the therapeutic journey is also very important to assure that all areas of wellness are being addressed. This may include exercise, nutrition, psychopharmacology, yoga, support groups, etc. Such an approach can mean the difference between solving today’s problems and making longer lasting changes.
In our sessions, I will guide you through this process. It is my ultimate goal to help you overcome your obstacles, find hope and meaning in life’s challenges (however painful they might be), move towards becoming the best version of yourself, and live a rewarding life of greater purpose and fulfillment.
As a very patient, empathic person, I find great satisfaction in helping my clients. It is always an honor to bear witness as my clients grow and thrive through life’s challenges.
